Make sure you defragment your drive at least once a month.

Ok, now with these simple tips you will see a really big difference how Firefox handle pages on the net.

Tip 1

1.       Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return

2.       Alter the entries as follows:

a.       Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

b.      Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

c.       Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

d.      Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

e.      Set “network.prefetch-next” to “False”

f.        Set “browser.cache.memory.capacity” the default value it’s about 50000. You have to adjust the value depending on the amount of RAM memory you have installed.

i.      For RAM sizes between 512MB and 1GB, start with 15000.

ii.      For RAM sizes between 128MB and 512M, try 5000.

g.       Right-click anywhere and select New->Boolean. Name it “config.trim_on_minimize” as name, and the Boolean value as “True”

3.       Now restart Firefox and give it a try.
